Henry Hunt, farmer, was born November 12th, 1851, on his father's farm in Marion Township, Hendricks County, Ind. He is the son of Ithamer and Francis J. (Burk) Hunt, who were pioneers of Hendricks County. He received a common education, was brought up a farmer, and married April 1st, 1877, at the age of twenty-five, Cassander R., daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Plaster) Higgins, and to this union one son has been born, Olsen M.
After marriage Mr. Hunt settled on his present farm, which then consisted of eighty-eight acres, to which he has added, including his wife's inheritance of 160 acres, until he now owns 268 acres. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt are members of the Christian Church and he has been deacon of his church four years. He has recently been elected township trustee of Marion Township on the Republican ticket, and is quite popular.
