NOTE: Roy H. Nichols was born on 11/06/1879 and died 04/11/1948. He was the son of Oliver E. and Moretta South Nichols and the grandson of Colonel Thomas and Martha (Hadley) Nichols. His wife Velma Smith was born 12/30/1883 and died 04/28/1982. Roy and Velma were married 04/27/1907 and both are buried in Danville’s South Cemetery.
