Index to Teachers in Hendricks County Schools

This is an index of the teachers in Hendricks County schools, which was published annually in Hendricks County newspapers. This index covers the years 1923-1963.

NOTES:

• The list was compiled by the Hendricks County schools superintendent. It was not published after 1963--that was the year that the schools were consolidated and school corporations were formed for various districts.
• For the 1958 school year, only a list of the teachers in Danville, Lizton and Plainfield schools could be found in the newspapers.
• For the 1963 school year, only teachers in Danville, Lizton, North Salem, Pittsboro and Plainfield schools were included in this index (Lizton, North Salem and Pittsboro were the only 3 schools that remained in the county school system; the Danville and Plainfield newspapers each published a list of the teachers in their own school corporation).
