This is a list of voters in Hendricks County for an election held on Monday, August 2, 1847 to elect: 1 Representative to Congress for the 7th District; 1 Representative to the Indiana General Assembly; 1 County Treasurer and Collector; 1 County Coroner; 1 School Commissioner; 1 County Commissioner (for the 2nd District); 1 County Surveyor; 1 County Assessor.

NOTE: This database is a transcription of the voter lists that were compiled for each of the 10 townships (Lincoln Township and Union Township did not exist yet). Some of Hendricks County's early voter lists have been microfilmed; that microfilm is available at the Indiana State Library, as well as through the Family History Library. Photocopies of the 1847 voter lists are in the collection of Plainfield Public Library.
