Republican candidates for county offices:

CLARK BLAIR

was born near Stilesville March 25th, 1836, his parents being Lindsey Blair, a pioneer of the county, and Rachel (Hodson) Blair. His father dying when he was but seventeen years old, the management of the farm fell on Clark, he being the eldest son. Previous to his father's death he clerked two years in Indianapolis. A short time after his marriage in 1858 he moved to Washington township where he has since lived, farming being his business. He served most acceptably as county commissioner from 1880 to 1889. His Republicanism is unquestioned and he has long been a worker in the party.
