CHARLES M. CAVINESS

is a native of Morgan county where he was born Jan. 8th, 1851. He came to this county twenty years ago and has been well known since. He was early thrown on his own resources and for many years was a clerk. He was deputy auditor under Mr. Brewer and left that position to go into business in Plainfield. He was compelled to leave the store on account of the condition of his health and returned to the auditor's office under Mr. Nichols. Since the age of thirteen he has been a cripple from sickness. He has always taken an active interest in the party's welfare.
