GEORGE B. DAVIS

was born in North Salem twenty-nine years ago and after completing the common schools entered Butler university but left this institution upon his father's death. He took charge of the farm and flouring mill which he managed for seven years. He took the law course at the State university, being honored with the position of class speaker. He is a good campaigner his services being in demand on the stump. Two years ago he was chairman of the mass convention and his active efforts for the party have been shown by his election as president of the North Salem Republican club for the last three campaigns.
