is the giant among the candidates. He was born in Putnam county Dec. 12th, 1866, and at the age of seven came to this county, to Clay township, where he lived twenty-one years. The last five years he has lived in Marion township. He is a farmer and has never held a public office. His Republicanism is of the purest vein.
