OTIS E. GULLEY

was born in North Salem March 22, 1867. His early life was spent on the farm and all his life except two years when he was in Arkansas has been passed in this county. He served one term as Colonel of the Sons of Veterans, Division of Arkansas and took a prominent part in the national encampment at Pattison, N.J. In the spring of 1884, he attended Franklin college. He taught school in Eel River township from 1884 to 1888 and within that time conducted a local paper at North Salem eighteen months. Since January 1891, he has been engaged in practicing law. In 1894, he was elected to the position of prosecuting attorney in which position he has shown marked ability, being re-elected in 1896.
