A.S. McCORMICK

is a native of Liberty township where he was born in 1839 and where he has always lived. He enlisted in the 7th Regiment and served until mustered out—three months. He re-enlisted in Co. H, 54th Indiana and veteranized in Co. A, 51st Indiana. He was wounded in the battle of Nashville. He went with his regiment to the Rio Grande when the troubler with Maximilian was threatened and was mustered out in San Antonio, Texas in December 1865. He is a farmer and builder by occupation. He is a working Republican and now represents the second district as commissioner.
