was born in Jefferson county, Kentucky, in 1833. He came to Indiana in 1837 with his parents and settled in Ohio county. In 1860, he came to Hendricks county and is today a respected citizen of Middle township. He was a soldier in the 54th and 124th regiments, Indiana volunteers. He is a stalwart Republican.
