BENJAMIN F. THOMAS

Captain Company G. Born April 9, 1831, in Baltimore, Maryland; came to Hendricks county, Indiana, May, 1853, entered the service as 2d lieutenant of Company G; was promoted to 1st lieutenant April 9, 1863, and to captain October 11, 1864, and commanded his company until the muster out. Since the war he has lived at Danville, Indiana, engaged in business and is a man with many friends. For many years he has assisted in holding an annual reunion of Companies G and H in Danville, and they always have a good time. His wife is prominent in the Woman's Relief Corps, being one of the state officers. A genial, quiet man, all comrades are his friends. Address, Danville, Indiana.
