JOHN WORRELL

Captain Company G. Born April 17, 1837, in Kentucky, but was brought to Hendricks county, Indiana, by his parents in 1839, and that has ever since been his home. He was appointed 1st lieutenant of Company G on its organization and was promoted to captain January 1, 1863, on the death of Captain Reid. He was in command of the company in all the campaigns until the close of the Atlanta campaign, when September 23, 1864, he resigned and came home. Since the war he has resided at Clayton, and has held several positions of trust and honor under the state and government. He holds one at present in the revenue department that causes him to travel extensively, and he is always glad to meet his comrades. Address, Clayton, Indiana.
