ALLEGES CRUELTY IN HER DIVORCE SUIT

Esther K. Barlow asks for a divorce from Verner R. Barlow alleging cruel and inhuman treatment in that he told her he did not love her, that he wanted her to go to her parents and stay there, and that he did not intend to live with her any longer. She alleges that he called her vile and abusive names and in her presence called her parents vile and abusive names. She alleges that he frequently cursed her and on several occasions struck and kicked her, that on the evening before their separation he struck and whipped her with a stick; that he interfered with plaintiff's control of their two children and tried to get the older child not to mind and obey plaintiff. Plaintiff alleges failure to provide, that he will not counsel with her about his business affairs, that he refuses to accept positions and opportunities to make money to provide support, that he frequently told plaintiff to get out from home and get work if she expected to get clothes for he would not buy her any. She wants the custody of their children, that he be required to contribute to their support and that he be required to pay her attorney fee. Parties were married September 26, 1917, and separated January 4, 1925.
