Divorce Notice for Earl W. Beeson and Lillian Mae Beeson

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, June 12, 1924—page 7, column 4:

NORTH SALEM MAN ASKS LEGAL SEPARATION

Earl W. Beeson wants a divorce from Lillian Mae Beeson, on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment. The couple resided at North Salem before they separated, and Mr. Beeson still lives there. Mr. Beeson says that he has tried and worked to make a good living, and has supported Mrs. Beeson as best he could, but that she told him he did not earn enough to support her, and that she wanted someone who could. She left him in December of 1924, he alleges. She said that she did not think anything of him, and that she wanted someone else.

Mr. Beeson says that he asked her to return and that she would not. He alleges that he met her on the streets of Indianapolis with another man, and that she would not speak to him. One child has been born to the union, John B. Beeson. Mr. Beeson asks custody of the child, and says that she is not a fit person to have the child.

The couple was wedded on the first of September, 1915, and separated in December, 1923.
