Divorce Notice for John T. Bell and Virginia J. Bell

WANTS DIVORCE

Virginia J. Bell asks for a divorce from John T. Bell, former sheriff. She alleges they were married January 10, 1867 and separated July 10, 1912; that none of their seven children is now at home; that on July 10, 1912 defendant was guilty of inhuman treatment in that he used vile language, called her names, ordered her to leave the house, struck her; that she is in bodily fear of defendant; that he is an habitual drunkard; that he goes to Danville and returns home drunk three or four times weekly; that he returned home drunk on July 10 and drove plaintiff, her daughter and the latter's husband away from home. Plaintiff wants a divorce, the custody of their minor child, John Allen, and $3,000 alimony.
