Divorce Notice for Fremont Bidgood and Rebecca L. (Branson) Bidgood

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, October 3, 1918—page 1, column 4:

CRUELTY ALLEGED

Because, as she alleges, Fremont Bidgood was guilty of cruel and inhuman treatment, calling his wife, Rebecca L. Bidgood, vile names, cursing her and threatening her with bodily injury, she asks for a divorce. She further claims that he would leave home for days at a time without money and that she had to labor for her support. She further alleges that he was an habitual drunkard, would curse her if she did not furnish money for him to buy drinks. She claims that she had money ahead when she married and owned property and that he has squandered her means for drink. She wants her maiden name, Rebecca L. Branson, restored.
