Divorce Notice for Emmett Bourne and Lora Elizabeth Bourne

THREE DIVORCE SUITS REVEAL MUCH UNHAPPINESS

[…] Lora Elizabeth Bourne files suit for divorce from Emmett Bourne. She alleges cruel and inhuman treatment in that for seven years he has repeatedly cursed plaintiff, called her vile names, that he has a violent temper, habitually carries a gun, that he has threatened to kill her, that he struck her, has knocked her down, has refused to allow her to take part in the social affairs of the community, that he told her he did not love her, that he wished she would leave him, that he unjustly accused her of infidelity, that his conduct in the community was not good. Plaintiff wants the custody of their child, a daughter, age 7. Parties live in Coatesville. They were married Feb. 27, 1915, and separated Jan. 27, 1923.
