from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, January 15, 1914—page 1, column 2:

MARITAL TROUBLES
New Year Starts with Disclosures of Unhappiness

[…] Annette Cooper asks for a change in the decree by which she was divorced from William Cooper September 20, 1909. The decree gave her $50 for attorneys' fees and ordered that he pay $15 monthly for the support of their children. She alleges that he has paid her only $20 for the support of the children and that he violates the order of the court in that he has sought to visit the children, which are in her custody, at her home at unreasonable hours, when he knew the children were in school, and that he came at such times for the purpose of annoying plaintiff, that he demanded his meals of her, used vile language, accused her falsely of drawing a gun on him and has had her arrested on groundless surety of the peace proceedings; that he has repeatedly threatened her with violence, and has repeatedly made false accusations against her.
