Divorce Notice for Robert P. Copeland and Daisy B. Copeland

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, November 4, 1915—page 7, column 3:

COPELAND VS. COPELAND

Daisy B. Copeland, of Plainfield, asks for a divorce from Robert P. Copeland. They were married Dec. 6, 1903 and separated Oct. 12, 1914. Plaintiff alleges cruel and inhuman treatment in that he said he did not love her; that he loved another woman from whom he was divorced prior to the marriage of plaintiff and defendant; that he corresponded with other women; that he abandoned her and their three children; that at the time she was sick and dependent; that he told her he hated her and wanted her to get a divorce so he could marry his former wife; that since he left he has given her for her support and the children $36.65. Plaintiff says her income is $6 per week as a clerk; that the defendant has an income of $1,820 per year. She wants a divorce, the custody of the children, $1,000 alimony and $15 per week.
