EDNA DAUGHERTY ALLEGES CRUELTY IN DIVORCE SUIT
Alleging cruel and inhuman treatment, and failure to provide, Edna Daugherty has filed suit in the circuit court asking for divorce from Samuel U. Daugherty, restoration of her maiden name, Edna Kirk, and $5,000 alimony. Two previous suits filed by Mrs. Daugherty have been withdrawn.
Plaintiff alleges that the defendant had on several occasions struck, beat her, and choked her, and has boasted of association with other women. She charges that since May 1, 1921, he has failed to provide for her, and that they separated on May 15. They were married March 8, 1917.
