Divorce Notice for John Games and Christener R. (Plunkett) Games

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, June 19, 1924—page 5, column 4:

AND HE NEVER CAME BACK

Mrs. Christener R. Games asks for a divorce from John Games in a suit filed Monday. She is a resident of Eel River township. Parties were married on the 8th of April, 1922, and lived together until the 11th of February, 1924. At that time Mr. Games left, without notice, and since then no word has been heard from him. Mrs. Games asks that the name of Christener R. Plunkett, which was her name before her marriage to Games, be restored to her.

Mr. Games is 64 years of age. Last February, Mrs. Games was in Danville attending court, and settling an estate. Games was summoned to appear in court that day. He did not. When Mrs. Games returned home, he was not there. He was traced as far as Ladoga, and was reported at other places, but the reports were never confirmed.
