Divorce Notice for Lee Hollingsworth and Ada Hollingsworth

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, October 9, 1913—page 1, column 3:

WANTS DIVORCE

Ada Hollingsworth has sued Lee Hollingsworth, of Amo, for divorce and she also wants the custody of their child, a boy, three years old. She alleges they were married Sept. 25, 1909 and she left him Sept. 22, 1913 because he is an habitual drunkard and she could no longer endure the life she was living. At the time the suit was filed, the child was in possession of defendant's mother. The husband had asked for the child to take him to his mother's for a time and then the husband refused to return the child. In her complaint for divorce, plaintiff said that the child has the whooping cough and needed her aid and an order was asked for the child to be returned. The Court issued the order and Sheriff Gentry secured the child and returned him. The Court directed that the father could see the child once per week while the action is pending.
