Divorce Notice for Virgil Hurin and Flossie M. Hurin

from the Danville Gazette (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, January 10, 1935—page 1, column 1:

Mrs. Hurin Seeks Divorce

Suit for divorce on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment was filed Tuesday in Hendricks circuit court by Flossie M. Hurin against Virgil Hurin, living two miles south of Avon. The wife alleges that the defendant struck her and called her vile names, sought the society of other women and would go for days without conversing with any member of the family. Mrs. Hurin asks custody of their four minor children, money for their support during their minority and alimony of $1,500. She says in the complaint that Hurin owns property worth $3,500 and has an income of $2,000 from his business as a trader and truckman. The couple was married May 19, 1917, and separated January 5, 1935.
