Divorce Notice for Virgil W. Hurin and Flossie M. Hurin

from the Danville Gazette (Danville, Indiana)--issue of Thursday, May 16, 1935--page 1, column 5:

PATCH DIDN'T PATCH
So Washington Township Woman Again Asks Divorce

Suit for divorce was filed by Flossie M. Hurin of Washington township Friday in circuit court against Virgil W. Hurin. The suit is the second filed by Mrs. Hurin since the first of the year, the first having been dismissed several weeks ago after a reconciliation.

Mrs. Hurin states in the complaint that she left her husband in January, but that she returned to him after he had promised to treat her better and refrain from associating with other women. She charges that he kept his promises only one week, after which he resumed his attentions to other women and made threats against her life. The couple separated again May 4, the complaint says.

The plaintiff asks alimony of $2,000 and custody of their four minor children, ages 10 to 17. Support money for the children is also requested. The couple was married May 19, 1917.
