from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, October 30, 1919—page 1, column 3:

DIVORCE WANTED

After three attempts, Doris Owen Hutchinson has decided that she can not live with her husband, Orville H. Hutchinson and she wants a divorce, the custody of their child, $5 per week for the child's support and $2,000 alimony. They were married Dec. 16, 1913 and finally separated in December 1918. Their first separation was in January 1917. In July 1917, they commenced to live together but within the month they separated. In December 1918 they again commenced to live together and again with the month they separated. Plaintiff alleges cruel and inhuman treatment in word and deed. Each time she went back to live with him, he promised not to mistreat her but he failed to keep his promise. Their last attempt to live together was when he was home from the army on furlough. A second paragraph of the complaint alleges failure to provide, plaintiff saying she has had to make her home with her parents at North Salem.
