Divorce Notice for Harry Moore and Carrie Moore

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, November 14, 1918—page 7, column 4:

[Suits Filed]

Harry Moore vs. Carrie Moore. Divorce. Plaintiff alleges that defendant refused to cook or look after their home; that when she complained of being ill, plaintiff would employ help and then defendant would suddenly recover her health and do as much or more work than the help. He also says she followed a course of nagging and fault finding; that in June 1918 she left his home and went to her mother's in Ohio, taking their four children; that plaintiff is able and willing to care for children; that he knows of no reason that would render defendant an unfit person to care for them; that plaintiff believes that defendant ought to have the care of them, at least during the tender years of their infancy; that plaintiff now offers to make such provisions for their support as the Court thinks proper; that the breach between plaintiff and defendant is permanent.
