from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, February 5, 1914—page 8, column 1:

[Suits Filed]

Myrtle B. Oursler vs. William C. Oursler. Divorce. Plaintiff alleges cruel and inhuman treatment in that defendant has been abusive in his talk and association with her; that he refused to go with her to any public gathering; that he would leave her and associate with people unknown to her; that he failed to provide, giving her nothing except one pair of shoes; that when she was sick, he made no provisions for her care; that he was gruff and surly; that by his conduct he has made life unbearable; that March 3, 1913, he deserted plaintiff, leaving her at her father's with the understanding that he was to come for her in a few days but he never came; that she has heard from him only through others; that she is informed that he has said he does not intend to live with her; that he disposed of personal property without saying anything to her. She wants her maiden name Myrtle Barnes, restored. They married May 19, 1912 and separated March 3, 1913.
