ALLEGES CRUELTY
Ruth Simmons Poorman asks for a divorce from Hugh Ralph Poorman, alleging cruel and inhuman treatment in that he cursed her, called her vile names, threatened to kill her, forbade her to associate with his relatives or with her friends or with any one who was kind to her, that on many occasions she was compelled to leave defendant and take shelter with neighbors or relatives, that on April 20, 1918 she went to the home of her parents where she now resides. She asks that her maiden name, Ruth Simmons, be restored. Parties were married March 31, 1917 and separated April 30, 1918.
