Divorce Notice for Harry Royer and Asa Royer

ALLEGES CRUELTY

After less than three years of married life, Asa Royer wants a divorce from Harry Royer. They were married June 30, 1912 and separated April 29, 1915. She alleges that he was guilty of cruel and inhuman conduct in that he frequently cursed her, threatened to beat her, on one occasion saying he would beat “seven kinds of hell out of her.” She alleges that on April 28, he struck her in the face four or five hard blows and he failed to provide, her parents having to clothe the plaintiff and one of the children although defendant is an able-bodied man and has earned from $15 to $25 per week. Plaintiff wants a divorce, $1,000 alimony, the custody of their children, aged 14 months and 5 weeks respectively, and an allowance for the children.
