Her Divorce Suit Is One of Three Filed This Week
Raymond Allen Smith was named defendant in a suit for divorce and custody of their small daughter, by Marjorie Jean Smith, Cartersburg housewife. The defendant told her their marriage was through as far as he was concerned, she alleges, and he failed and neglected to support her and their child. She further claims defendant took up with another woman and married her April 7, 1946, while he was stationed in California with the U.S. Marines, and is now in custody of officials in that state pending their investigation. The couple was married May 3, 1944, and separated May 1, 1946.
