from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, December 23, 1920—page 1, column 2:

MANY REASONS ALLEGED FOR DIVORCE BY HUSBAND

Earl T. Stewart wants a divorce from Cecil O. Stewart with the custody of their children. They were married March 7, 1914 and separated August 24, 1919. He alleges that she cursed and abused plaintiff, called him vile names, urged him to get a divorce and threatened to get one herself if he did not; that she told him she wished he had stayed away when he was in the army; that once she threw an iron at him; that once she abandoned their home for fourteen months; that she said she wished he had been killed in France so she could get the insurance money.
