CRUELTY ALLEGED
Amanda Ward, of Cartersburg, wants a divorce from Patrick Ward, alleging cruel and inhuman treatment in that he cursed her and called her vile names, that he was continually finding fault, refused to buy her food and clothing suitable for their situation in life; that he was miserly, refused to permit her to buy anything, and refused to extend her credit. She alleges defendant is worth $40,000. She wants her former name, Amanda Groves, restored and $5,000 alimony. Parties were married Feb. 2, 1921, and separated May 8, 1922.
