Stories of Those Who Wish Relief From Ills

[…] Clara Wills has again filed a suit for divorce from John R. Wills. She filed on in April and they effected an agreement by which the suit was dismissed and on the 14th of May she commenced to live with him again. But she alleges that she can not live with him; that Friday night, between 10 and 11 o'clock, defendant went to North Salem and procured a constable and told the constable he wanted him to arrest plaintiff and take her to jail at Danville; that the constable went to the house of the plaintiff and upon learning the conditions, refused to take plaintiff to jail but on the contrary, seeing the condition of the defendant's mind, advised plaintiff not to live in the house with him and on the next day the constable took her in his auto to her father's home in Boone county; that on this Friday night, the defendant slept in a barn in North Salem; that defendant is extremely jealous of plaintiff and that she can not live with him. She wants $5,000 alimony and $15 per week for support of children.
