Divorce Notice for Elihu Wolf and Orlena J. Wolf

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)—issue of Thursday, January 21, 1909—page 1, column 6:

Wolf vs. Wolf

A divorce suit filed Monday smacks somewhat of the old Puritan days. Elihu Wolf asks a divorce from Orlena J. Wolf. He alleges they were married Jan. 24, 1901, and separated Jan. 14, 1909; that his wife has a violent and uncontrollable temper and is a common scold; that she quarrels without provocation and uses abusive language; that she quarrels night and day; that she has frequently called him a liar and accused him of being the meanest man on earth; that she told him to go ahead and file a divorce suit and she would file a cross complaint; that each has property and that an ante-nuptial agreement fixes their property rights. The parties live at Coatesville and he is over 70 years old and she over 60.
