Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to Company C, 334th Infantry; then to Company C, 152nd Infantry. Transferred to Camp Shelby, Miss.; assigned to Replacement Draft, Overseas June 12, 1918; assigned to Company F, 165th Infantry, 38th Division. Killed in action July 31, 1918, at Chateau-Thierry. Buried at Seringes-et-Nesles, France.
