Son of John W. and Anna L. Hall; born October 9, 1893, Clayton, Hendricks County, Ind. Farmer. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army June 21, 1914, Indianapolis, Ind. Served three years in Philippine Island, and Cuba. Sent to Columbus Barracks, Ohio; then to Camp Green, S.C. Assigned to Machine Gun Company, 30th Infantry. Overseas in April, 1918. Gassed in battle of Fismes, August 9, 1918, and died of pneumonia and result of gas, August 17, 1918. Buried at Clayton, Ind.
