Serving as Assistant Surgeon, Public Health, at that place when he was taken ill and died of influenza-pneumonia, October 27, 1918. Buried at Stilesville, Hendricks County, Ind. Survived by widow, Floy West Hicks, and son, Leon Franklin, Danville, Ind.
