Son of David Wilton and Cora Alice Jenkins (deceased); born June 29, 1891, near Avon, Hendricks County, Ind. Reared by Mrs. Andrew Gibbs (Aunt). Laborer. Entered service December 14, 1917, San Francisco, Cal. Sent to Presidio, Cal.; assigned to Battery A, 62nd Coast Artillery Corps. Embarked July 14, 1918. Returned as casualty to Camp Sherman, Ohio. Transferred to Camp Wadsworth, S.C., where he died of tuberculosis April 14, 1919. Buried at Plainfield, Ind.
