Son of Edwin Morton and Mary Florence Kurtz; born April 25, 1897, North Salem, Hendricks County, Ind. Farmer. Enlisted in Student Army Training Corps September 16, 1918, Colorado Springs, Colo. He was immediately taken to the hospital with a severe cold, which developed into influenza, and died October 2, 1918, at that place. Buried in Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Hendricks County, Ind.
