Sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to 30th Company, 8th Training Battalion, 158th Depot Brigade; transferred to the Medical Department, Base Hospital, where he died of pneumonia, October 11, 1918. Buried in South Cemetery, Danville, Ind. Survived by widow, Virginia O'Donnell, North Salem, Ind.
