Son of Adrian and Mary M. Parsons; born February 11, 1889, near Plainfield, Hendricks County, Ind. Farmer. Entered U.S. Marine Corps March 28, 1918, Indianapolis, Ind. Sent to Parris Island, S.C.; assigned to 19th Company. Transferred to Washington, D.C. for special duty. Won honors as marksman. Transferred to Ordnance Plant, Charleston, W. Va., where he died of pneumonia October 22, 1918. (Place of burial not given).
