Mary E. Bell died July 19 at Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. She was 88.
Born May 5, 1912, in Irvin, Ky., she was a daughter of John Hamilton and Threasa Richardson. She was the widow of Thomas Grant Bell.
Mrs. Bell had been a homemaker. She had previously resided in Brownsburg and Indianapolis.
Survivors include sons Robert Bell of Darlington and James Bell of Stuart, Fla.; a daughter, Virginia Turner of Richmond; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg with the Rev. Ron McDugle officiating. Interment was at Greenlawn Cemetery in Brownsburg.
