Jacob C. Blacklidge was born Sept. 6, 1824 in Franklin county Indiana and died March 8, 1901 at Cartersburg, Ind. He was stricken with paralysis March 6. He was married to Miss Mary Wells June 2, 1848. To this union were born seven children, five sons and two daughters. All have preceded him to their eternal home. He was married the second time Jan. 19, 1891 to Mrs. Margaret Jane Rawlings, of Cartersburg, Ind., formerly of Jennings county, Ind. He professed faith in Christ early in life and lived a consistent Christian life. A kind friend, a good neighbor and a loving husband is gone.
