Oscar Bonifield, son of M.T. Bonifield, died at St. Mary's hospital in Decatur, Ills., Wednesday, after a ten days' illness. The immediate cause of death was shock from an operation to remove an abscess in the gall duct. He was born in Danville, Indiana, April 21, 1874. He had lived in Decatur about fifteen years and was in the office of the Decatur Coal Co. The Decatur press speaks most highly of him. Some six years ago he was married to Miss Jane Brown, of Indianapolis, and she with three children survives him. The funeral was from the First Baptist church in Decatur, of which he was a member.
