Obituary for Charles W. Bousman

from The Republican (Danville, Indiana)--issue of Thursday, March 5, 1903—page 1, column 5:

Charles W. Bousman died at his home Friday afternoon from a complication of diseases. He had been a sufferer for many years but had been confined to his bed but three days before his death. He was the son of John and Mary Bousman, who survive, and was born September 29, 1854. He was married September 28th, 1876, to Laura C. Bowen and to them were born six children, who, with the widow, are living. After his marriage, Mr. Bousman moved to Kansas where he lived for nine years. He then moved to Spencer, Indiana, where he lived a number of years before moving to Danville. At one time he was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge but his membership had lapsed. He was a member of the Christian church, having united with that denomination at the age of nineteen. Services were conducted at the home Sunday morning by Rev. Daugherty. The remains were placed in the vault at the south cemetery to await interment in the east cemetery.
