Mrs. Eva C. Denny, daughter of Samuel M. and Isabelle Brady, was born Feb. 5, 1867 and died Nov. 22, after an illness of a few months. She was married to Vincent Denny, Nov. 9, 1886, and to them were born two sons and one daughter. She was a faithful wife and a loving and devoted mother. She loved to attend church and it was her desire that her children should be brought up in the love and admonition of the Lord. The large crowd that attended her funeral proved conclusively that she was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The services were conducted by Rev. Blue at the home, after which the body was laid to rest in the cemetery near Cartersburg.
