HUBERT F. GARNER, RESIDENT OF KENNEDY CHRISTIAN HOME, DIES
Hubert F. Garner, 77, a resident of the Kennedy Memorial Christian Home since 1974, died there Sunday.
Born in Hendricks County on Sept. 9, 1901, he was the son of Rollie and Ella Hufford Garner.
He was married to Opal Baldock Garner in 1928, and she survives.
Other survivors include five sisters, Bernice Davis, Speedway, Mable Miller, Carmel, Joan Shirley, Zionsville, Edith Off, Greencastle, and Helen Wing of Arizona. A resident of Plainfield for 40 years, Mr. Garner was employed with the PrestoLite Company from 1919 to 1948. In 1948 he went to work for Esterline-Angus, and retired from there in 1963. He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church.
The Rev. Warren Robbins will officiate at the funeral Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, and calling hours are until 9 p.m. today.
