Obituary for Miss Vance Garner

Miss Vance Garner, a retired school teacher, died Saturday, in the Community Hospital, Indianapolis, where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had been in ill health for some time. She was 72 years of age. She was a resident of 606 Woodruff Place, Indianapolis.

She was a member of the Central Christian Church of Indianapolis, the Nettie Rensford Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She taught school for a number of years at Tech High School in Indianapolis.

Survivors include a brother, Herman Garner, Brownsburg, and a niece, Mrs. Stanley Hornbeck, Indianapolis.

Services were Tuesday afternoon from the Jones & Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with the Rev. Rhodes Thompson of Indianapolis officiating. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery, there.
