Funeral services for Loren L. Gentry, one of Brownsburg's older citizens, were Sunday afternoon from the Jones & Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. The Rev. Earl Daily officiated with burial in the Brownsburg Inc., Cemetery. He died, Friday, in the Hendricks County Hospital where he had been a patient for seven days. Age 94, he was a resident of 206 East College Street, Brownsburg.
A native of Hendricks County, he was born Dec. 27, 1872 and was married to the late Ella Gentry, who preceded him in 1949. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church and charter member of the K. of P. Lodge of Brownsburg and the Brownsburg Conservation Club.
Survivors include two children, Mrs. Cordis Herdrick and Newell Gentry, both of Brownsburg; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Campbell, Erie, Pa.; a brother, Raymond Gentry, Nashville; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
